Liberty Mountain and Muc-Off Team Up to Donate Hand Sanitizer
When COVID-19 hit early this year, Muc-Off pivoted some of their manufacturing away from bike cleaning and maintenance products to create an antibacterial range of products. They wanted to "actively play our part in fighting back against the coronavirus by deploying our agility and innovative ethos to the max." Over just a few months, they were able to grow their offerings to include hand sanitizer, antibacterial device/screen cleaner, masks, face shields, hand moisturizer, and chamois cream.
They have been donating tons of product to frontline workers and high risk groups, along with donating 10% of profits from the anti-bac range to the World Health Organization COVID-19 Solitary Response Fund.
Muc-Off is a UK based company, but they didn't stop at supporting their local community, they wanted to help out everywhere. They have sent Chamois Creme all over the world to help reduce friction and provide soothing moisturizer to the high chaffing areas of the face that medical care providers are experiencing discomfort with from wearing masks and shields all day. They also sent the NYFD 1,000 bottles of hand santizer, and partnered with a non-profit in South Carolina to get 500 bottles into the hands of police officers around the states. These are just a few of the great things Muc-Off has been doing to give back during the pandemic.
As one of their dsitributors in the US, they wanted us to be able to give back to our community as well, so they provided us with 200 of their hand sanitizer bottles to donate locally. We decided they would be put to good use at The Road Home, which is a is a private non-profit social services agency that assists individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake County and along the Wasatch Front. The Road Home provides multiple services to help people overcome homelessness. Their team members have been working day and night to help solve the challenges posed by COVID-19, and their primary goal is to help prevent its spread in the community and their programs. We were able to receive the donations from Muc-Off in late July and get them delivered to The Road Home during some of the highest case counts per day the area has seen since the start of it all. We hope that the sanitizer will be useful in the fight to stop the spread of the virus.
We are proud to be a distributor of the Muc-Off line of bike products and hope that you are all getting out to ride while staying safe, happy, and healthy.
