UTAH WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Mike was born in Kansas, but grew up in Colorado Springs where his family moved when he was five years old. It was there that his love of the outdoors began, summers of camping and fishing, hunting in the fall, and winter trips to Crested Butte learning to ski and snowboard. He attended Western State College of Colorado in Gunnison, studying business management. In September of 2002 he moved to Utah with some friends to follow the sage advice of Warren Miller on moving to a ski town and getting a night job, "If you don't do it this year, you will be one year older when you do." This was the start of his ski bum period when he rode Snowbird as much as possible for the next decade. He started by working at The Canyon Inn as a bouncer, cook, and bartender, quickly becoming the head cook. In the fall of 2006 he started working for Backcountry.com, rising through the ranks of their warehouse to eventually become Manager of Outbound. He is now the Utah Warehouse Manager at Liberty Mountain and has enjoyed continuing his career in the outdoor industry.
